Least of These is a progressive folk pop band based out of Southern California. They are a group of Christians with a desire to use the talents God has given them to play good, quality music. The band members came together to perform for fun at a local college campus in the early part of 2004, and since then have been consistently playing coffee houses, churches, schools, and other venues in the Los Angeles area. Beautiful piano and keyboard melodies, groovin' drum beats, rhythmic bass and acoustic guitar progressions, and tight vocal harmonies meet fun, thought-provoking lyrics to make for a wonderfully entertaining blend of music.

BIOS

Patrick Levis

Born and raised in Maryland, Patrick Levis started an entertainment career at a very young age when, at 13, he landed the role of “Young Josh” in the original Broadway Musical “big.” Just a few weeks after his 16th birthday, he came to southern California (where he now lives) in order to pursue more seriously an acting career in film and television. Since then, a major part of Patrick’s life has been acting in television projects, including the WB’s “Maybe It’s Me,” in which his character, Grant, was a Christian songwriter! But, whether it’s through his acting or his own songwriting, he has always kept busy making music. Picked up a guitar and began writing about 8 years ago, and when the opportunity came, back in February of 2004, to play his stuff live he decided to make it count and put a whole band together. That was the birth of “Least of These,” and the first taste of what would become Patrick’s greatest passion: writing and performing music that is powerful, meaningful, and eternal and doing it alongside amazingly talented people, who happen to be his best friends. Apart from writing music and performing, Patrick’s time is spent at home with family and friends, involved in ministry at his church, playing baseball in the street, and going to the gym so he can continue his pursuit of being at least as muscular as Joe before it becomes an impossible task!

Joe Levis

Joe was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. His experience as a drummer began at age 9, playing in the school band. In 2000, Joe moved with his family to their current home in Sylmar, California, where his drumming became a more significant part of his life. He has been playing drums for worship teams at his church in both the high school and college ministries over the past 3 years. Apart from drumming, Joe likes to serve in ministry, spend time with his family, golf, and weight train.

Joe is affectionately referred to as "Carbosis" by his fellow band members!

Caitie Levis

Caitie was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. She's been singing and playing piano since she was very young, with experience in choirs, choruses, musicals, and bands. She has been a servant leader in her church's youth group for the past 4 years, playing piano and singing on the worship team, and is currently studying at the Master's College in Santa Clarita, CA. Her hobbies include playing guitar, going to the mall with friends, and spending time with family. Caitie is the band's only girl, but the 4 boys (including her two older brothers) take good care of her.

Rick Horio

Rick was raised in Granada Hills, California, and still lives there with his wife and daughter.  He has been singing, playing piano, and writing music for about 14 years, and has played in several bands before this one.  His hobbies include – but are most certainly not limited to – negotiating (never pay list price!!!), eating, buying automobiles from dealerships, DDR, watching movies, and Japanese cuisine.  One day he would like to learn how to write that one hit song that will financially sustain his family for no less than 3 generations, after which he will work diligently to discover the cure for the vertically challenged.

Keith Smith

Keith was born in Northridge, California. He has been playing the electric, acoustic, and bass guitar for about 7 years, and has served in several worship bands along the way. He attends Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California and is involved in its Crossroads college ministry. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, listening to music, and going to Los Angeles Kings hockey games. He now resides in Sylmar, California and is currently studying for his Business Information Systems degree.
