Sorry that there weren't any updates for almost the entire year. We were busy this year, but with almost everything EXCEPT Least of These happenings. Go figure (though we did manage to get a few shows in).
No, we have not broken up (in case any of you were wondering). We've all just been pursuing various things that the Lord has been leading us to pursue on an individual basis. School, new ministry opportunities, new jobs, new life adventures... they have all been keeping us occupied and thankful for the Lord's hand in all of it.
Thanks to all of you that have sent us e-mails, encouraging and supporting us throughout the year, as well as throughout the life of our band. We are humbled and thankful that what we do might encourage you to seek the things of God.
As we approach Christmas, we trust that you are remembering "the reason for the season." Not just a baby born in a manger in Bethlehem... but the God of this Universe... our Lord and Savior... who came to earth so that He might die... and thus give us life.
So from our Least of These family to yours... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We are looking forward to seeing how the Lord will work next year. Lord willing, our paths will cross in 2008!
For His Glory,

Happy New Year everyone!
We trust that you had a blessed Christmas and New Year's, worshipping our great Savior and Lord for the work that He has done and continues to do in you.
Well, we are back together again after a brief hiatus and we've already got plenty to keep us busy in January. We will be leaving for Big Bear, CA in a few days to lead worship for a youth ministry winter camp. What a way to start off the year, doing what we love to do most... worshipping and praising God.
Lord willing, God will continue to bless this road that we are on in 2007 and allow us many opportunities to use our music as a platform to draw you to Him.
Hope to see you on the trail soon!
God bless,
least of these

We trust that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with plenty to give thanks for, not the least of which is the grace of God that came in the form of His only Begotten Son, to live a perfect, sinless life, die a cruel death on a cross, and rise triumphantly from the dead so that we might have eternal life. Praise God for that!
In other news, Rick and his wife welcomed their second child, a daughter named Chloe, into this world last Saturday. We rejoice in God's goodness to Rick and his family.
Last, we are getting ready to hit the holidays hard with our families, but in the midst of that we are looking to book some shows after the New Year. We hope to see you at a show in 2007!
In case you don't hear from us until after the New Year, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and we hope to see you soon!
For He Alone is Worthy,
Least of These

Sorry for the long gap between posts...
Least of These is taking a break for a few months. "Jimmy quit, Jody got married, I should have known we'd never get far" (What song? What song?).
But seriously, Caitie is studying overseas for a semester, and Rick and his wife are getting ready to welcome their next child into this world. Before we know it the holidays will come and go and we will once again be ready to rock at a place near you (hopefully) in 2007.
God bless and hope to see you soon,
Least of These

We really enjoyed our stay at Sylvan Oaks Christian Church. The church is one of the most welcoming and giving bodies you will ever find. If you are ever near the Sacramento area on a Sunday, or you live up there and need a church home, please go check it out!
We stayed with a dear family from the church for the weekend and they treated us like royalty. We couldn't have dreamt up better hosts. And they sure like to feed you!!!
Everyone at the church was so nice and friendly and it was a joy to worship alongside them on Sunday. Many people stayed after the show on Sunday night to meet us and talk to us. We loved that!
The Lord is so good to us, to allow us to continue to use music as a platform to bring Him glory and honor. We trust that He used us to minister to that body, as He used them to minister to us.

Last Wednesday we were back at a very familiar place... Calvary Bible Church in Burbank. It's always a joy and a blessing to be back. Thanks to everyone there that continues to support us, as well as the new faces that came to the show.
This weekend we are embarking on our first official "road trip." We are headed north to Citrus Heights, CA. We will be leading worship at a church up there on Sunday morning, and playing a concert on Sunday night. Then we are packing up and driving right back home, so please pray for our travels and our ministry this weekend. And if you are anywhere near Citrus Heights, please come see us!

We finished our show in Thousand Oaks (thanks to those of you that came out to see us!) and got a much welcomed break for a couple weeks. But this break will have to last us a couple months. June is getting pretty full, as is July; we were recently asked to be the worship band for the Crossroads summer Bible study at Grace Community Church for the second consecutive year. We love leading worship, so it was an honor to be asked again.

This past weekend Patrick, Joe, and Caitie were informed that one of their close relatives had passed away. Please pray for them and their family as they head back east to attend funeral services. They will be flying right back Saturday morning so that we can play our show in Thousand Oaks.

It's been a while since we've updated our site, but we've added a few shows and are looking to confirm a few more for the coming weeks and months, so hopefully we'll be playing near you soon!
We can't thank you enough for the love and support you have shown us and we hope to give that back to you this year with some great music. Please come to one (or many) of our shows, if you can. We promise to work our hardest to make it worth your while.
For His Glory,

This week has been a busy one in the life of our band. We're very thankful. This week started with a bang with an album release party that we threw for our family, friends, and everyone involved in the making of "Only Begun." We worked very hard on the record, but it would not have been possible without the support, hard work, and talents of so many gifted people. We are definitely blessed, so we wanted to do something for them.
We've also met some new friends along the way with shows at a church in Arcadia and a high school in North Hills (Rick actually went to school there... in a previous life). People have been so welcoming and cool at the shows.
If you haven't seen Least of These live, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!? Come check us out as we seek to share our music and our lives with you. And when you come, please come up and say hi!

We didn't go into hiding for no reason! At 3:00pm on Friday, December 16, 2005, three months of our blood, sweat, and tears (in the form of a compact disc) was shipped off in a FedEx box to a duplication house to be multiplied and packaged! After three months in the studio, Least of These has completed our very first full-length album, entitled "Only Begun."
We've been together for 2 years now, and the Lord has continued to bless our band with the opportunities we need to keep making music. So, that's what we're doing! "Only Begun," we pray, is only the beginning of a long road of music and ministry for Least of These. We hope that our heart for the Lord, our love for storytelling, and our desire to make good quality music comes through in the 12 tracks that make up this album.
"Only Begun" features all new original music, including new versions of 2 songs from our self-titled demo CD, "Lucy Found a River" and "Covered in the Son." Some of our recording took place at the famous Schnee Studios, and the entire project was engineered, mixed, and co-produced by our good friend Darius Fong. We teamed up with Darius back in September not knowing that we would be working with one of the most diligent, talented, humble, Christ-centered sound engineers in the industry. With the help of Darius, modern technology, the prayers of loved ones, and most of all the grace of God, we pulled off what we thought would be impossible, and came away with something we are all very proud of. We hope you are blessed.

Our first "Only Begun" concert took place at 4:30pm on January 14, 2006 in front of a 3,000 seat house at the famous Pasadena Civic Auditorium during the Resolved Conference. Resolved is a brand new conference hosted by Grace Community Church's Crossroads Ministry themed around the resolutions of Jonathan Edwards. It was a perfect setting for our music: a whole weekend of worship where college students hear tons of powerful preaching and are challenged to form greater convictions about the life that they live before their God.
We shared the stage with our friend Darby Hughes, who just released his latest album "what language shall i borrow," a 14-song CD of newly arranged hymns. After Darby was done with his set, we hit the stage with a bang. We opened with the title song, "Only Begun," and jammed through about 40 minutes of music, closing with a fun rendition of "See the Truth." A big thank you to all those who attended our concert and supported us that day. It was an exciting way to start the year off and premiere our new music! We can't wait to play again, so keep your eyes open for updates on upcoming Least of These shows!
